Nottingham-based Alan
Barratt and Tony Thomas a.k.a. The Producers,
renowned underground artists with an enviable back-catalogue
of searing techno grooves, produced for countless labels under
numerous aliases totaling well over a hundred releases are the
latest UK Midlands export. Set for major support from top DJ’s
and a spiraling profile, The Producers alias was born in 1997
after both Tony and Alan made a conscious decision to broaden
their studio ethic encompassing a wider range of their
influences and the result; a little under four years later, is
a stunning debut album for Paul Davis’ (a.k.a. ½ of
Circulation) Creative imprint that positively reeks
of inspiration from right across the electronic music
spectrum.
Positive Influence
contains ten tracks packed to the hilt with a potent
combination of funk, marauding basslines and mesmerizing
effects that are highly focused toward dancefloor
sensibilities. However, it’s the attention to detail and
intricate production that result in that rare commodity of a
club-oriented album proving just as worthy for home listening
as getting down and dirty in your sweatpit of choice.
Intelligent and spacious programming is the key factor in the

"Influx" or the stripped down, exquisite house of "A Feeling"
